groovi ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use the groovi mobile app and website (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Account information: name, email address, handle/username, and password when you create an account
- Profile information: stage name, bio, profile photo, location, and career details you choose to add
- Content you create: song titles, lyrics, audio recordings, notes, and other creative content you upload or generate in the app
- Collaborator information: names and contact details of collaborators you add to songs
- Payment information: processed securely through RevenueCat and Apple/Google — we do not store your payment card details
We also collect information automatically when you use the Service:
- Usage data: features you use, pages you visit, actions you take in the app
- Device information: device type, operating system, app version
- Streaming data: stream counts fetched from third-party services like Spotify via MyStreamCount
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Create and manage your account
- Process subscription payments
- Send you service-related communications (account verification, support responses)
- Personalize your experience and surface relevant features
- Ensure the security of your account and content
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:
- Service providers: Supabase (database and authentication), RevenueCat (subscription management), Spotify/MyStreamCount (streaming data)
- Other users: Only content you explicitly choose to share publicly (e.g. community posts for released songs). Your catalog, lyrics, and drafts are private by default.
- Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect rights and safety
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Audio files and images are stored in Supabase Storage. We implement row-level security so users can only access their own data.
5. Your Choices
You can:
- Update your profile information at any time in the app
- Delete individual songs, lyrics, or other content you've created
- Cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store or Google Play
- Request deletion of your entire account and associated data (see below)
6. Children's Privacy
groovi is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at support@soundsgroovi.com.

10. Account Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your groovi account and all associated data at any time.
To delete your account:
Email support@soundsgroovi.com with the subject line "Delete My Account" from the email address associated with your account.
What gets deleted:
- Your profile and account information
- All songs, lyrics, audio files, and creative content you've uploaded
- Your playlists and catalog data
- All other personal data associated with your account
What may be retained:
- Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot be linked back to you
- Transaction records required for legal or tax compliance (retained for up to 7 years)
We will process your deletion request within 30 days and confirm via email once complete.
